As we make our way through 2019, The 100 Club continues to live out its mission of support for our First Responder community through sponsorship of educational events, funding of maintenance or preventative equipment and funding for officers and their families who are injured or killed in the line of duty.
The Board of Directors have been working with leadership from all jurisdictions supported to raise awareness of the available funds The 100 Club can provide. Thanks to the sustained membership the organization was able to give the following meaningful contributions in 2019:
$19,000 to the Clark family in honor of Lieutenant Brad Clark who tragically gave his life in October 2018 for their daughter's tuition at Liberty University to allow her to continue to complete her higher education.
$7,000 to serve as a Platinum sponsor at the Retail Merchants 30th Annual Valor Awards recognizing First Responders that go above and beyond the call of duty and honoring the entire First Responder community.
$4,000 to help fund an educational Health and Safety Symposium through the Richmond Fire & Emergency Services to be held on May 7, 2019. This important training opportunity will focus on occupational cancer and highway emergency responses, both of which are impacting the health & safety of firefighters across our state.
Again, thank you to all of our First Responders that help keep our community safe and to all of The 100 Club members that allow us to show our support.
